Venue

The 4th BioASQ Workshop was held as part of the BioNLP Workshop, on August 12-13, 2016, in the context of ACL 2016 conference, in Humboldt University which is located in the heart of Berlin, on the city's most famous historic street Unter den Linden. It is next to the famous Maxim Gorki Theater and opposite to the German State Opera House. The Museum Island and the TV tower are just across a bridge and the Brandenburg Gate is a ten-minute walk up Unter den Linden. The conference venue itself is an officially recognized historical monument.
 
The venue regularly hosts scientific events and conferences of various sizes. It is also used often by the German government and foreign dignitaries as a place to hold lectures and have meetings. Modern audiovisual equipment is available in all conference halls making them fully suited for giving presentations and having discussions. The Eduroam wireless network is available in all university buildings, so conference participants can directly log in with their accounts without any further assistance. A second wireless network is available for guests and login details will be given at the registration.
 
The venue is easily accessible by public transport. There is a bus stop right in front of the building from which a direct bus reaches Berlin Tegel Airport in less than 30 minutes. Berlin Schönefeld airport is reached within 45 minutes via train service and the trip to the main train station takes less than 10 minutes using public transport.
